Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Set it Now ("the App"), developed by Tim ("we", "us", "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Set it Now is a daily planner application that helps you manage tasks, calendar events, work shifts, habits, journal entries, and shopping lists. The App includes features such as shared calendars, a voice assistant, and AI-powered task categorization. The App is available on iOS, Android, and the web.

3. User Accounts

• An anonymous account is created automatically when you first use the App.
• You may upgrade to a Google or email/password account to sync data across devices.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen.

4. User Content

• You retain ownership of all content you create in the App (tasks, events, shifts, habits, journal entries, lists).
• You grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the App's services, including AI-powered categorization.
• You are solely responsible for the content you create. Do not use the App for unlawful purposes.

5. Shared Calendars

• You may create shared calendars and invite other users by email address.
• When you share a calendar, invited members can view and add events to that calendar. Your display name and email are visible to other members.
• As the calendar owner, you can remove members at any time. Members can leave a shared calendar at any time.
• You are responsible for only sharing calendars with people you trust. We are not responsible for how other members use shared calendar data.

6. Voice Assistant & AI Features

• The voice assistant processes your queries locally against your own task and event data. Speech recognition is performed on-device by your operating system.
• AI task categorization may send event titles to Google Gemini for classification when local categorization is insufficient. No other event details are shared.
• AI features are provided "as is" and may not always produce accurate results. You should verify AI-generated categorizations.
• Some AI features may require a Pro subscription.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated systems to access the App in a manner that exceeds reasonable use

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including Google Calendar, Microsoft Calendar, Apple Calendar, Google AdMob, and Google Gemini AI. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services.

9. Advertisements

The free version of the App displays advertisements via Google AdMob. Ad content is provided by third parties and we do not endorse the products or services advertised.

10. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, missed reminders, or scheduling errors.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting your account and uninstalling the App.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict of law principles.
